| Short List of Harassment by Stalking Campaign |
The follow campaign of stalking was centered around my political beliefs. It was carried out, in part, by a former romantic interest who now works for the U.S. Government.
Stalked me online at my office and home and in person from 2001 through 2006
- Posted death threats against me online
- Emailed threats to me
- Installed spyware on my machine at home
- Stalked me at my home. My wife even saw one of them (JH) peering into our window. This activity at night caused my daughter to refuse to sleep alone in her room.
- Physically disconnected the cable (TV and Internet) from our apartment on three occasions. The cable company confirmed that someone unauthorized had been disconnecting it.
- JH gave me a burrito with a foreign substance in it (i.e. He poisoned it).
- JH posted slander and libel about my wife and daughter online.
- Stalker B accessed my credit records, medical records, and other personal records and then posted disinformation derived from these online.
- Stalker B visited my office as a representative of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Online she was accusing me of being a terrorist because of my political beliefs.
- Vandalized my car.
- My employer allowed JH to collect information from my personnel file.
- In response to the death threats, we moved away from Austin and moved to Boston.
Stalked me online and at home in Massachusetts from 2002 through 2004
- In Massachusetts, the stalker enlisted the help of my local police department to harass me (again,due to my political beliefs).
- A police car was stationed in front of my house.
- The police officer photographed my wife and I as we were leaving the house (and yes, my wife saw this too).
- My telephone was tapped. The contents of various telephone conversations were repeated online by the stalkers.
- A website was put online with the purpose of recruiting more harassers to harass my wife, daughter and I. The website was hosted by the store owned by Stalker B's uncle.
- The webmaster of the aforementioned harassment website successful broke into my email account. (I also have logs of him attempting to break into my websites' hosting accounts.)
- My wife's immigration documentation was lost by the INS multiple times, causing her to be unable to leave the country. This happened while the stalkers were threatening to have her deported.
- Photographs of a dead baby were place online and identified by the stalkers as my daughter.
- Fake email was sent in my name to Bill O'Reilly and then read on the air. My former employer used my email address at their office to perform this act of identity theft.
- My cell phone records will illegally obtained and used to recount my travels (all the way down to Miami).
- The stalker (probably stalker B), posted messages online demanding that I commit suicide. (Here's another by this low-life.)
- Threats against the President's life were posted online in my name by the stalkers.
- Doctored images were mailed to a store selling my propaganda. The sender then notified the Secret Service about them before they arrived. The Secret Service visited the store. I contacted the Secret Service (who was monitoring my website, according to the logs) to inform them that a stalker was doing these things in my name. The Secret Service never spoke to me. Consequently, I assume they were in on it, as they are required by law to investigate each and every incident of this sort.
- I was followed around town one day by a car with federal government license plates.
- Hate mail was spoofed, in my name, to US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, causing soldiers and their families to send me hate mail in return. This was done by a person actually working for the military.
- The website of the parents of a missing child was defaced by forged postings in my name by the stalker (whom I believe to be Stalker (B)), taunting his parents (Yes, I'm pointing you to the website of the parents of Shawn Hornbeck, and I kid you not). During this time, the actual missing child also made a post. Who knows whether this harassment by that website by the stalker my have distracted from an opportunity to find the child.
- After visiting the ACLU in Boston, I was followed on the street from their office to the subway by a man dressed like your typical FBI agent. He followed me onto the train. To see if he was really following me, I got off the train early. He got off too. I waited for the next train and got on again. He got on again and stood their staring at me. I got off at the next stop and he got off. He followed me out of the train station. Knowing Downtown Boston well, I lost him in a crowed of people at Downtown Crossing.
- I began doing political work in Harvard Square. The Cambridge Police began harassing us. They even knew my name, through I had not given it to them.
- In Harvard Square, one of the people who began to hang out with me, turned out to be a government informant. He was involved in using instant messaging to have the rest of our group “flash mobbed” frequently by Bush supporters. He checked my telephone to make sure it was not WAP enabled so that I could not monitor these activities. A local anarchist intercepted these text messages and later informed me about it. (This person is the blond guy who stood there with us. He's the one who took this video. It appears that stalker B. edited it and authored the libel.)
- My car was vandalized in my driveway.
- I was physically attacked by one of the stalkers in Harvard Square while doing political work there.
- A fake blog was put up in my name.
- A fake IndyMedia website (Beach Cities IMC, centered in the home town of Stalker B) was put online and used exclusively to publish fake and libelous articles about me.
- While helping out at my brother's business in New Hampshire, my brother and I were harassed by the stalkers.
- 8500 threats to kidnap my daughter and deport my wife were sent to me, via Internet, in a single day.
- In response to the threats to kidnap my daughter, we immediately moved to another state, far away from Massachusetts. This was the second time we had to move as a direct consequence of the harassment and stalking.
Stalking after we left Massachusetts
- In our new location, we kept all information about ourselves secret. My family was asked to not share information about our whereabouts with anyone. The harassment continued online. Finally, at my family's urging, I took down my political websites. The harassment wound down, for the most part, and we lived in relative peace. After two years, we left that location to begin our lives again, this time in a place we chose because we like it there. (2006)
- However, during this time, my family in Massachusetts and New Hampshire were harassed by the stalker.
- The webmaster of Stalker B's harassment website hacked into Vermont IMC (confirmed by IP address), took down their website, and replaced it with banner reading Stephen DeVoy Independent Media Center.
- The stalkers published libelous article online designed to harass my ucle's business in Norwood, Massachusetts. My uncle went to the police, but the police would not help because THE POLICE WERE INVOLVED in the harassment.
- The stalkers harassed my brother's business in New Hampshire, by calling for a rally at his place of business and posting bogus coupons for his business online (which is a criminal act). The police did nothing because THEY WERE INVOLVED.
- The harassment began once again (2007) briefly when I put this website and two others online. The stalker (B) posted libelous disinformation online against my wife, my daughter, and me. She was particularly nasty in her harassment of my wife, a person she has never met.
